Check an older serial, understand random serials and compare an estimated production period with your papers.
We assess modern, vintage and discontinued Rolex watches, including Datejust, Day-Date, Submariner, Daytona, GMT-Master II, Explorer and Oyster Perpetual. Include the full reference from your warranty card or service paperwork, together with case metal and dial photographs.
If you do not have the reference, send photographs rather than removing the bracelet or opening the watch yourself. Model names cover different sizes, generations and configurations, so identification comes before a meaningful comparison.
We also assess the new Perpetual Padellone. Send the full reference, photographs of the dial and case, and details of its bracelet or strap. We assess its condition and accompanying set individually rather than assume a price from the model name alone.
Tell us about previous polishing, dents, bracelet wear, clasp operation and missing links. Clear photographs of the case edges and bracelet help show the condition. An unworn-looking finish does not, on its own, establish the originality or history of the watch.
Describe winding, setting or timekeeping problems and include service invoices. We consider likely service needs in the assessment. Ask for a quote before paying for cosmetic work. Its cost is not automatically added to the purchase offer.
Our watch specialist previously spent seven years with an authorised Rolex distributor. Physical assessment includes opening the case to examine the movement, serial and reference markings and component originality, plus checking relevant bracelet and case markings for consistency. We consider the findings together rather than treating a serial number or papers as proof on their own.
Disclose replacement dials, bezels, bracelets, service parts or added diamonds. A genuine replacement and the component originally supplied with the watch are different questions. We explain relevant findings before you decide whether to accept the offer.
Gather the box, warranty card or papers, purchase receipt, service history and spare links you still have. Missing packaging does not prevent an enquiry, but tell us exactly what is included. Papers support the history. They do not replace examination of the watch.
To complete a sale, we need your identification and residential address, with purchase receipts where available. Contact your specialist about providing identification. Keep unrelated personal information out of your initial item photographs.
